 About Chad:

Chad Waelchli comes from being the Head Performance Coach and Fitness Director at Anytime Fitness.  Chad has been a sports performance coach, human performance coach, and exercise physiologist for over 14 years.  Chad has owned his own sports performance and personal training business for 10 years and has been a Professor of Exercise Science (Biomechanics, Nutrition, and Strength Training) at DeSales University and Northampton Community College. Chad was the Sports Performance Director at Velocity Sports Performance and has trained athletes and clients of all ages and abilities including NFL combine athletes, USA Olympic Cyclists, minor league baseball players, collegiate athletes, high school athletes, youth athletes, MMA fighters, personal training clients, and group fitness classes. 

Chad is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a certified SPARQ trainer (Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction, and Quickness). He received his Masters Degree in Exercise Science and his Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania . While at ESU, Chad served as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Wilkes University and Lehigh University and was a Graduate Assistant in the Intramural and Recreation Department at ESU. 

Along with specialized and functional training, Chad annually presents research and lectures at NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) and ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) conferences at the national, regional and local level, and has been doing so for over 10 years.  Formerly, Chad was the Exercise Specialist and Consultant for Kwik Goal, the world wide leader in Soccer Apparel and Equipment.  

Chad played collegiate baseball at North Carolina Wesleyan College and East Stroudsburg University. Chad was an all area and all state catcher who had professional workouts with the Florida Marlins and Tampa Bay Devil Rays, and was scouted by the Colorado Rockies. Chad turned down a free agent deal with the Philadelphia Phillies to focus on his graduate school and thesis research. He is currently working part time as a professional model for fitness, acting, and men’s casual wear as well as training and competing in mixed martial arts. Chad has had photo shoots for such companies as Majestic, Runners World Magazine, and has been a fitness Model for Men’s Health Magazine and works on air at QVC. He is also heavily involved with MMA and  animal rescue.
